Happy Monday Everyone! A sunny but FREEZING morning here in Bournemouth ☀️❄️

Had a lot going on this last week so apologies for not posting! We managed to fit in a flip though 😊 This one has been a bit of a slog! But just some finishing touches to go now.

We use reclaimed wood for everything we make and when we’re not making, we’re upcycling pre-loved furniture 🪵🖌️

But why should you opt for upcycled when shopping for your home? 🤔

There are loads of benefits to you and the planet when you choose to buy upcycled furniture instead of new. Here’s just a few…

♻️ You are reducing the number of items filling up landfill sites.

🌎 By using what we already have, we don’t have to take away any more raw materials from our environment than truly necessary.

🕰️ Older items more often than not, are much better quality than you would find in the big box stores. If it’s being upcycled then it’s already proven it can stand the test of time!

We will just have to find it another forever home 🏡

Well, it’s time for us to start blue arsed flying it, so we’re going to sign off for Christmas! 🎄🎅🏼

This (very heavy) chunky, butchers block chopping board was on the scrap pile, but just look how beautiful it looks now! 😍

A lot of careful sanding here, although there were some very angry chops that still remain… We think they add character! 😊 Then a few coats of oil brought it back to life! 🪵

If you’re working with a chopping board or any kitchen surface or utensil, make sure you use a food safe oil.
This picture was taken immediately after oiling so it hadn’t had a chance to dry yet. We opted for danish oil, when dry it is hard wearing, durable and food safe 👍

Another beautiful dining table repaired, revived and rehomed, joining our last table at The Elm Pub in Ringwood. Such a lovely pub, well worth a visit!

Wish I had some before shots of this table, and some better afters! It took some doing, but such a difference!
The legs look black in the picture but they’re a rich navy blue, looked gorgeous!

No time for any more furniture flips this side of Christmas now, but plenty of projects on the go and in the pipeline 😊 Straight after Christmas we will be ON IT! 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻🛠️💪🏼
