Most Saturday mornings you can find me from 10-1. I am also most likely to be beavering away on a small project! These are some recent ones ….1. Small chair, completely stripped down to the frame and reupholstered in this pretty linen fabric . We also sanded and oiled the frame for a complete makeover. The same client had embroidered this gorgeous piece that we then backed on fabric and created a cushion. Next a small leather repair, scuffed trim and back of the chair - repaired ✔️. Finally, the very popular seat pads. Two shown, though we did 6 . Most of these projects get turned around over 1-2 weeks . Simply pop in to see me, discuss your project and we will book you in. Drop and pick up - all done 👍. You are welcome ! 🤗

Second phase of Take A Seat’s work with the newly named Nook, No.9 High street ( formerly Wellington’s kitchen and courtyard.) Sharon and her team having been working hard to further develop a cosy bistro nook in Dover. Last year we did the bench seat cushions for them , and yesterday installed the second phase of the back seat cushions! More to come ! Well done the Nook!

Not too late for a happy new year is it ! Wishing a happy and healthy one to you all ! Hope you have been snuggling up on something comfy during January ! It’s been full on at Take A Seat for the start of the year . Will share some of the projects completions soon. Sharing these fabulous raw cow hide dining chairs that I completed just before Christmas - only had a picture of all three just before Christmas - now you get to see all six lined up for cosy nights in ! Bookings are flooding in - major projects now booking for April. Small projects availability for March and sewing projects booking for mid February . A very merry Christmas to you all! Whatever you do I do hope you are sitting comfortably ! If not come see me in the new year ! Our final project of 2025 delivered yesterday - my hands are looking forward to the break - these cowhides were tough!!!! Love the background to these chairs.These Italian chrome chairs were sourced - they have some great stuff there just ready to revamped into something extraordinary! Take a look - I can always give you a price if you send me a picture! 😜😘 Enough said ! Let’s take a break, enjoy our time out and get ready to step into 2026! Business as usual from January 5th 2026.

I love doing these ! It’s so cathartic! A large leather recliner ; reconditioning and recolouring and a bit of polish! We also treated the cracks to prevent further travel ! Countdown to Christmas two more jobs ! ( apart from my own of course ! ) 😘

Countdown to Christmas really beginning ! Weekend delivery for this contemporary swivel chair. My client wanted to keep this chair as it held so many memories nursing her children! Think she has bought this bang 💥 up to date !
