Phil Crennell is a highly skilled artisan making beautifully constructed and finished Live Edge Furniture. Using Scottish sourced hardwoods, Oak, Elm, Yew, Sycamore and others Phils unique style creates the most interesting and striking furniture. He started training in London as an apprentice cabinet maker, has worked in Londons Soho as graphic artist, illustrator and photo retoucher in the adver

tising and music industry for many years. Phil then wanted a dramatic change of scenery so he bought a boat and sailed to the Western Isles in Scotland. Landing on the Isle of Mull Phil settled in Tiroran where he bought the Steadings and established a Gallery and artists work space. Phil is now based at Auchenlosh Woodland, Dalbeattie in Dumfries and Galloway South West Scotland. He has built with the help of some of his great friends an two storey Greenwood Timber Framed workshop. Hidden away in a beautiful woodland it is the ideal spot for him to immerse himself in the tranquil surroundings to originate beautiful furniture and indulge in his painting.
