Here at UK Carpenters we are SUPER proud of our team. They’re hardworking, talented, punctual and always ready to go above and beyond and so when we asked them yesterday to join in a fancy dress parade, OF COURSE they nailed it 🙌🏼

Ellie has been dressing up on a Friday since lockdown happened and wandering around the local village to make people smile. When her best friend Tina was diagnosed with another cancer after already battling breast cancer she used the fancy dress to raise money for Sarcoma UK to raise awareness and as a way of “giving back” for the treatment her friend Tina received.

Sadly, Tina lost her battle earlier this year. Ellie carried on with the fancy dress and arranged a Grand Finale for yesterday 22nd July. This marked 117 weeks (2.25 years) of Fancy Dress Friday and was widely supported by friends, villagers, and the local primary school that our children have attended. People as far away as Germany joined in and sent pictures of themselves dressed up making people smile.

We think you’ll agree that the team did us proud yesterday - we’re not quite sure the world was ready for Simon in his skirt but he seemed to enjoy himself so it’s all good 🤣
