Hi everyone, I have three items for sale.
1. An Arts & Crafts cupboard featuring three inner shelves. The inside and outside of the cabinet are painted in Powder Brush from a chalk paint. Measurements @ Price are on the photograph of the item’s tag.

2. A matching pair of oak side/sofa tables. Painted on the legs and stretchers, again in Powder Brush by Elle (Crown Paint). The tops of the tables have been resurfaced and now the lovely oak grain has been revealed. The legs are slightly splayed and the carving feathers flowers. Price is £175 for the pair. H 40 cm L 46.5 cm W 45 cm.

3. A slimline console table with a scalloped edge right around its skirt. Solid Indian hardwood with resurfaced and sealed top. Drawer to front. Painted in a neutral chalk.

Such a lovely day in Corbridge today. Got out for a walk. Headed for the path by the river. Fabulous forsythia growing behind a wall on the hill heading down. Sheep in the field actually out of the strong sunshine. Past my most favourite house, just seen over a wall, blackthorn blossom framed. On past the river, fast flowing and glistening. And close by huge trees, beech in the main. Love all the hidden doorways 🚪 💚

I had a lovely meet with my friend Paula today and we chose the Pele Tower for our coffee and catchup. There is a wood burner on the first floor and we bagged the seats nearest to it. 😊 So nice on a damp and dreary day. Shaun, the owner was there and told us about the Pele’s history and how he and his wife carried out the restorations, resulting in a National Heritage Angel Award. Totally well deserved don’t you think. 👏👏👏

A visit down memory lane today to Bakewell in Derbyshire. We both used to live and work in the area. Weird and wonderful how lives have sometimes overlapped like that.

Bakewell pudding had to be bought of course 🥰

Then on to Ashbourne. Another pretty town with lots of independent shops. We had an impromptu lunch at the Machine Inn. What a find. Fine dining at its best. Not too frilly 😎 Just perfect.
