I know… posting fireplaces during a heatwave probably isn’t ideal timing. 😂

Thankfully the heat turns off… so for now they’re just there looking pretty while some of us retreat to indoors away from the heatwave.🥵

There’s still something about a media wall that instantly makes a room feel cosy though.

What started as steels, blockwork and an empty shell slowly became one of the biggest feature walls we’ve created to date.

7 metres of bespoke cabinetry.
A huge 2.4m fire.
Layered textures.
Integrated lighting.
And weeks of planning, crafting and installation to bring it all together.

This wasn’t just about building a media wall — it was about creating the focal point of the home.

Would you have guessed there’s a full bed hidden in this room? 👀

From the outside, it just looks like a clean run of bespoke cabinetry… exactly how the client wanted it.

But behind those doors is a hidden Murphy bed designed to completely transform the space when needed.

Probably one of our favourite kinds of design — the sort you barely notice until you realise how clever it actually is.

Turns out it wasn’t 👀

After previously creating a multi-functional media wall in this space, the client came back wanting to take it one step further by carrying the design across the back wall to tie everything together.

So we created custom routed panelling to perfectly complement the original piece — matching the spacing, colour and overall feel of the room.

It’s subtle additions like this that make a space feel fully considered rather than simply furnished.

We took a very different approach to this feature wall…

Usually we create statement feature walls where the cabinetry plays a huge part in the overall design.

But after seeing the simplistic display we created around the fire at Grand Designs Live last year, the client fell in love with the idea of letting the fire completely own the space.

So this one was designed differently.

Minimal cabinetry.
Clean lines.
Subtle detailing.

All designed to quietly enhance the statement fire rather than compete with it 🔥

And honestly… we love how calm and considered the finished space feels.
