I specialise in the repair and restoration of antique and contemporary furniture. With over 30 years experience in Traditional French Polishing and Furniture Restoration Processes, I offer quality craftsmanship and expertise from my workshop in White Colne, near Colchester, North Essex

A 1980s/90s Ekornes Stressless Leather chair that had a complete facelift. It came to me in a cherry red with a white beech base. The client wanted it recoloured and the base stripped and repolished to a mahogany colour. Before photo is not brilliant but gives you an idea of the change this chair had

An oak pedestal desk which needed the desktop veneer all around the edges because it was very thin and cracking. I needed to router out a deeper channel to put a thicker veneer in without damaging the original leather. It then needed to be grainfilled and repolished to match the rest of the desk. A set of 8 Mahogany Edwardian chairs with leather seats that needed some TLC. The seats were flaking and the leather was very damaged. The leather had to be glued and repaired, filled, reconditioned to improve softness and coloured to match the original colour. The mahogany was cleaned and repolished - swipe for the before photos!

A beautiful oak grand staircase located in Sundridge Park House, which was designed by the famous architect John Nash, in Bromley, London. It needed to be completely stripped and sanded down. It was then re-coloured and lacquered to the clients preference. (swipe for the before photos➡)

This was one of the more interesting pieces that has come through my workshop! It is a replica of a 16th century ship, extra points to anyone who can name the ship!

It was in very poor condition when the client bought it in and because it was his grandads, he wanted it restored back to its former glory. The sails were gently but thoroughly cleaned, the rigging was repaired and many other repairs were carried out to bring this ship back to life. I had one very happy client! (Swipe for the before➡️)

Early 18th Century Walnut Chest on Chest with brass handles.
Repairs were made to the mouldings with new ones needing to be made. The whole piece was then sympathetically cleaned and repolished to keep the original colour.

This was a fantastic building to work on in Tooting, London. This is the old Tooting Bec Hospital which was first opened in 1841 and owned by Henry Perkins, a wealthy brewer. The main door needed to be sanded down, repairs made and repolished to bring it back to its former glory. This was completed in conjunction with John Palmer.
