Sleepy Hollow has been recycling customer's old mattresses for many years, and this service means we recycle over 1000 mattresses every year.
This saves an estimated estimated 40 tonnes of bulky waste from landfill, as we take all old mattresses to a specialist mattress recycling company in Darwen.
The National Bed Federation estimates approximately 4.75 million mattresses are discarded in the UK each year.
"Buying a new mattress shouldn't create a waste problem. When someone buys a new mattress, our customers do not want the hassle of working out how to dispose of their old mattress responsibly. Our delivery crew does everything to get the new mattress into the customer's room and the old mattress out of their home with our professional delivery service" says Liam Godfrey, Sales Director at Sleepy Hollow.
