Last night at The ‘Winter Gardens’ in Blackpool we were proud finalists in the Design category at this year’s Red Rose Awards.

A evening for us all to enjoy a special night out with superb entertainment and to appreciate where our hard work has got us.

While it wasn’t our year to take the title, being shortlisted alongside some outstanding Lancashire businesses—and receiving such positive feedback on our Cabriflex™ furniture during judging—reminds us how far we’ve come in 6 years and why we do what we do.

A big congratulations to all the category winners and a sincere thank you to the judges and organisers for a fantastic event. We’ll take the momentum, the learning, and the pride… and keep pushing forward.

A great morning attending the judging round for this year’s Red Rose Awards, held at the iconic Turf Moor Football Stadium ⚽️

Proud to say we’re finalists in the Design category, and I’m delighted to share that the presentation went really well. I received some very positive feedback from the judges, particularly around our Cabriflex™ furniture concept—always encouraging when innovation and design-led thinking land well in the room.

Now… we wait.
The results will be announced on Thursday 12th March 🤞

Last night Tony and Nick had the honour of attending the Excellence in Furniture Awards, where Understairs by Giobella were finalists in the Design and Innovation category.

It wasn’t our night this time—but being in the same room as some of the real big hitters of the furniture world was something special and genuinely made us both very proud.

To think how far we’ve come in just 6 years, from a simple idea to being recognised alongside such established names, is incredibly humbling. It was a reminder that innovation, persistence, and doing things properly really do matter.

We’re proud of our team, grateful for the support of our customers and partners—and excited, because honestly… we’re only just getting going.

We’re delighted to share that Understairs by Giobella are finalists in the Design Innovation category at the Excellence in Furniture Awards, being held this evening at the NEC, Birmingham.

To be recognised alongside so many talented designers and manufacturers is a real honour and a testament to the passion, creativity and attention to detail that goes into every understairs project we design and make.

As we step into a new year, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all our clients, past and present.

2025 was a particularly special year for our team. We were deeply honoured to be invited by the BBC to take part in three DIY SOS builds — in Preston, Exeter and Llanberis. These projects allowed us to play a small part in making a real difference to people’s lives at a time when hope was in very short supply. Experiences like these remind us why we are privileged to be able to do what we do.

Moving into 2026 we have lots of exciting developments planned to bring our products and services to more clients together with even more choice of finishes and textures.
