Our Barrel Planters were commissioned by Daylesford Organic to complement this charming Cotswold courtyard. Chosen for our traditional joinery, exacting craftsmanship and entirely bespoke approach, they were made specifically for their setting.

Eight years later, they remain in situ, a testament to the longevity of beautifully and traditionally made planters.

A bespoke arched estate door, individually designed and made to follow the architecture of this beautiful Cotswolds property, with the frame formed to sit seamlessly within the existing stone arch.

Fitted a year ago, it’s already beginning to weather and settle beautifully into its surroundings, taking on the character that only time can bring.

A quiet statement in craftsmanship, proportion and enduring detail.

Designed for Dyffryn Gardens’ National Trust walled garden, this 70mm solid oak door demonstrates how traditional joinery can unite craftsmanship with thoughtful engineering.

The open spindle detail at the head is echoed below, where the seemingly decorative lower section performs a vital role. Acting as a discreet ventilation opening, it allows cold, dense air to drain from the garden, reducing the formation of frost pockets while preserving the symmetry of the design.

Every element has a purpose. The best details often do.

The Mansfield Planter - Every planter begins with proportion. The relationship between object, planting and surrounding architecture determines everything that follows. Materials are chosen not for novelty, but for how they weather, age and quietly become part of a place.

A year ago I personally delivered these six bespoke timber planters to this stunning private estate.

Today I was back, delivering more planters for other areas of the garden, and it was a pleasure to see how beautifully they have settled into the landscape.

Each planter measures 1.5m × 1.5m × 0.9m and was handcrafted by us to house these incredible specimen cloud trees. The timber has weathered exactly as intended, developing a natural patina that makes the planters look as though they’ve always been part of the garden.

We don’t make standard off-the-shelf products. Every planter is made to order, engineered to last, and designed to complement exceptional landscapes.

It’s always rewarding to return to a project and see our work becoming part of the story of a garden.

We are delighted to have once again been commissioned by the National Trust, this time to recreate the historic Repton Trellis Seats designed by John Adey Repton for the Blickling Estate.

Using an original seat as our reference, each piece is meticulously crafted to replicate every historic detail, preserving the authenticity and refinement of the original design.
