Today is our Figura team Christmas lunch and we are heading off to one of our favourite regular haunts-William IV pub in Little London, Albury.

It’s time for Giles and I to say a huge thank you to our incredible team for making all the Figura projects possible this year!

Let the countdown begin! 🎄

Clutter seems to somehow multiply on kitchen work surfaces!

If it's not bowls of fruit or piles of paperwork then it's one of many appliances.

Inevitably, and all too often, this can spill over into the all-important cooking zone.

At Figura we always advise to keep the cooking zone as clear and safe as possible.

This means we'll work with you to understand how you use your kitchen, what you need worktop space for, and what you need to have close to hand in the cooking zone. Then we'll design the space and storage completely bespoke to perfectly meet your needs.

And if you are anything like me, and find it hard to make the cut, we will introduce you to the best declutterers for miles around -Julie and Cherry from The Clutterflies.

They will gently and seemingly magically bring order and organisation back to your piles of kitchen ‘stuff’ without getting rid of anything that’s important!

They have worked with lots of our clients, all over their homes and are a truly amazing dynamic duo!

Lighting has a dramatic impact –
not only on the feel of a room but also on how effective it is as a space.

The beautiful light fitting pictured here was created by Figura specifically for this kitchen, to address the need for differentiated lighting zones over working and eating areas.

The style complements the main table and island and uses ‘period-style’ LED bulbs to great effect. The fitting was then hand-forged by the same local craftsmen who also created the stunning splashback behind the Aga.

Too many kitchens tend to blend into a sea of sameness.

Regardless of budget or brand, the market often inundates us with a sense of homogeneity, leaving little room for individuality.
