What an amazing month of skies we’ve been having. Whilst not the ideal late Spring weather we all hope for, the fast changing skies have delivered some epic displays for me to capture. I’ve especially enjoyed the dark streaks of rain connecting the sky to the sea.

Hey you are EPIC indeed!

Thanks for organising such a fantastic morning for all us independent small businesses/freelancers/budding entrepreneurs/artisans and general good eggs. Great to be back, after a rather interesting 2025 for me, with renewed vigour for and my giclee printing and reconnecting with the Chi Business community.

Choosing the right frame and mount colour isn’t just about matching your furniture, it’s about what works for your art. The right choice acts as a bridge between the piece and the room, while the wrong choice can completely detract or overwhelm the artwork.

Here are a few ways colour selection changes the game:

The Contrast Play: A dark frame on a light-colored print creates a “window” effect, drawing the eye inward.

The Harmony Approach: Choosing a frame that matches a minor colour within the artwork can make those subtle details pop. This works so well with the beach and seascape artists we work with. Cool, clean and fresh.

Temperature Matters: We have a great reputation for getting this right and if we can’t find it from our suppliers’ stock we will paint the moulding to produce a truly unique and perfectly designed frame.

If glare or reflections on a picture frame is reducing the enjoyment of your precious artwork, I thought I would show you a great example of how upgrading from standard glass can remove this problem.

we are always recommending UV70 Tru Vue non-reflective glass to our framing customers.

Not only does it dramatically reduce reflections, making your artwork easier to see from any angle, but it also offers UV protection to help preserve colours and prevent fading over time. It’s a simple upgrade that makes a huge difference in both appearance and longevity.

I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my limited edition “Bracklesham Skies” series on printed canvas!

Over the past 3 months, I've been inspired by the stunning sunrises, cloud formations, and sunsets while short term renting close to the shoreline

Each piece is printed on poly cotton canvas and hand stretched onto 30mm bars, finished with a tray frame in black, lime wash, or natural wood options with a 10mm shadow gap, all crafted in-house

Available in two sizes: 60cm x 30cm and 80cm x 45cm

Welcome to West Sussex Framing

I’m delighted to be bringing my 16 years of experience to the team at this new framing studio in Itchenor

As well as an incredibly high standard of bespoke framing we also offer archival quality large format printing, helping photographers to output their work, freeing photos from your digital devices and artists produce limited editions prints for sale.

More space to create, more capacity for work, larger range of mouldings and plenty of parking.

The Old Dairy, Itchenor is rapidly becoming a creative hub and we will soon be starting to run classes in photographic printing, all things framing and Jewellery making by Lucy with Diamonds.

We will be launching a dedicated website for the Old Dairy very soon where courses and events will advertised. The demonstration space is also available to hire for workshops, photoshoots and exhibitions.
