I finally did it 💙

I made a Bluey-inspired toy storage box for two very special little boys.

It started as a simple plywood construction… and slowly turned into an upholstered ottoman with a soft seat and hand-sewn details.

This is not a strict tutorial. It’s more a creative journey — from cutting the wood, building the structure, adding foam and fabric, to finishing touches.

I share the process, little stories along the way, and all the real behind-the-scenes moments.

I painted the fabric first,
then slowly started contouring the landscape by hand.
This is part of a Bluey-inspired toy box I’m making layer by layer — taking my time and letting it come to life naturally 🤍

Do you know the feeling of 'I'll only go to take a look and be inspired?'...

That was me.
I only went to local John Lewis to look at cushions that can go with my wavy headboard.... And unfortunately (fortunately) found a pair that was ideal, packed with feathers, and half price, so technically two for a price of one....

Would you do the same?... :)

Most people focus only on the headboard.
But side panels change the feeling of the whole room.
They add depth, balance, and intention — turning the bed into a feature, not just furniture.
Soon, this headboard and side panels will be fully installed, and I’ll be sharing the process as it comes

I've been finally able to collect all the samples I needed to create the collage.

It is not easy (not being a designer!) to see the whole picture. And I'm definitely one of those people who needs to see it as a whole.

So, bedroom in the making 😍

Finallt we've been able to lift the suspended floor, and add insulation, following by ned ceiling, floors etc.
It will take a few weekends and evenings but I'm looking forward to it 😍👌
