Hello strangers!
So as you may have guessed from the radio silence, Like A Magpie - Furniture Makeovers is no longer in action. After becoming quite poorly on some treatment for PMDD a while ago I took a break - and never really came back ;)

It is all good though - just a quick note to say thank you to all those who bought from me and commissioned me - as a small business owner it really means a lot. Next up... Random little trolley with storage. Was covered in oil paints but now mainly stripped down. I was going to make it into an Orla Keily drinks trolley but I never quite got there! £5

This means I have LOTS of things to go go go!
Some partly worked on so perfect for any upcycling enthusiasts!

Two clock things.. no innards. Would make a cool project!

Collection of lampshade skeletons/frames that I used to have suspended from my high art studio ceiling. Some spray painted, some wrapped in fabric, some au naturale. Different shapes and sizes. 10 in total.
Perfect for a crafter or someone a bit creative to do a funky display in their garden!

So, I haven't posted for a long time. Life has been extra weird for the past 18 months. This is a picture of me last October after I'd just had a total hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy (ovaries out too). For many years I suffered from a condition called . I was undiagnosed for 17 years, despite going to doctors time and time again. ruled my life. I couldn't work full time. I'd lose at least a week a month to feeling like I'd rather die than be alive through this for another month.
So.... This month is and so I am doing a photo a day challenge on Instagram to share and hopefully spread some awareness so you know what PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) is and how to spot it & help others.
PMDD affects 1in 20 women. 15% of those take their life or attempt to take their life. It's serious s**t. 90% of sufferers are undiagnosed as doctors, gynaecologists nor psychologists are trained in it.
Anyways. I've had enough. Last year I started ...a patient led awareness project. It's growing and we're getting there!
