Introducing ‘The SafeTime Project’, a not-for-profit organisation, created by myself Emma Joanne, (photographer) & Bruce Martindill (Tiny house builder), from Brighton.
The SafeTime concept was born out of the tragic fall-out effects of Covid-19 & the resulting ban on visits to care homes, which has subsequently taken place. After myself and Bruce (both self employed creatives) found ourselves out of work, we decided we wanted to use our spare time wisely & give back to the community in this time of crisis.
We have been completely moved by the prospect of this tragic situation unfolding & cannot imagine how difficult a ban must be for loved ones to take on board, at this uncertain time? We felt compelled to act to find a solution.
So we have devised one; The SafeTime Pod ~ the first of its kind in the U.K.
The SafeTime Pod is a stand alone, fully mobile unit, placed outside the home with a hands free communications system intact, allowing families and friends to visit care / hospice home residents, without the risk of cross contamination.
We need help to get our project off the ground in terms of funding & business advice, so we are about to launch a crowdfunding campaign to generate public interest and capital.
We are planning to raise enough funds to donate 50 - 100 pods to the homes & hospices in most need, across the UK.
Its simple: The more money we receive, the more pods we can donate.
Please join us in our quest to help as many care homes open up to visitors again & reunite families once more!
