We first started by doing office clearances for the local council and supplying local school with everything we got. Which lead to being approached by Shanks recycling to re cycle many unwanted items into the local community by selling at low affordable prices. We then started to hear about vulnerable people in impossible situations so decided to help by donating them items they needed to help sta
rt and re build their lives. We have helped over 310 families so far from women escaping domestic abuse who have fled their homes through fear and left with nothing so we have supplied them with all the items they need to start making a safe home and environment for them and their children. we have helped people who have been homeless and received keys to a home with nothing to put in it, also we have provided bikes free of charge to people who just needed help getting to and from work. we also provide a Free play day once a year a Queens Park Castleford costing us around £5000 a year to put on, everything is free from face painting to the rides and activities to the public (pre Covid 19). We also donate 3 £500 grants a year to local groups and companies which are just starting out. We have provided the homeless with basics such as sleeping bags and a wash kit including toiletries. we have also supplied items to the Bag Fairies and Airedale Baby Bank. We are extremely proud of the work we do and are very grateful to all our amazing customers which has helped all the above be possible. We started in a little shop in Featherstone and have now expanded into a shop based in Diggerland Castleford.
