A quick fix from this morning! The top stitch has come loose and started to unravel. Using a simple hand stitch technique we could use the original thread and secure it so you wouldn’t know there has been a repair! Please with this one!

I have been very quiet with my big move 🇦🇺 I haven’t posted in a while!
So I have just finished making a cover for a go kart target which will be used to help progress driverless technology and hopefully stop more children being hit by vehicles. All very interesting! We used a reflective material and chose a gorgeous red and white. I of course had to have my lucky number on there as well!

From start to fitting of a front cover of a moped! Start by draping over the fabric to work out my individual sections, add on my allowances and put together. I’ll be fitting this today and make any final amendments before replicating the pattern 😁 really enjoyed this one!

Get your garden furniture fixed and ready to go for the warmer days ☀️ Spring is coming!
A zip replacement on an outdoor cushion. Due to the cuts in the material, I took a slightly larger seam to stop any further fraying.
Now let’s hope for some sunshine, warmer weather and to spend some time relaxing in the garden!

What a crazy month it’s been, lots of exciting things to share!
First off ... The completion of a secondary carpentry course! I had a great time making this baby coffee table, learning new skills and brushing up on what we had previously learnt. Lots of skills to bring to my everyday work life!

We have acquired some key skills which will benefit our work, while also having a great time! Currently on the intermediate course making a small table! Well done Amy

A nice easy one this morning before sending the day with family 😁
Replacing a broken zip and securing the end with a neat hand sewn castle stitch (catching previous threads so it won’t come undone)
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

One of my favourite projects I’m working on at the moment for the automotive industry ...
Replicating animals to given specifications! Given an animal as inspiration, then freehand draw the design, build a foam structure, sculpting, then measuring up and creating a cover! Proud of this one!
Waiting on final fabrics to bring the realism, and final amendments to then make pattens to replicate!

After 2 lessons with me learning how to work an industrial sewing machine (threading the machine, tensions, winding bobbins, sewing) and measuring up (measuring, squaring off, adding seams) .... he has made some sides for his outdoor bar! Am amazing first attempt! Well done!

It’s great to teach someone who is keen to learn and asks lots of questions 😁🙌🏽
