DAVID'S DIARY...
On the damp and chilly evening of March 12th we once again found ourselves inadvertently clashing with a charity event, this time it was Comic Relief. With David Palmer ‘on loan’ for a large charity auction in London, friend & colleague Charles Eagle-Bott set his competent hands to the rains; and with our largest catalogue to date, he set about selling the 330 listed lots. The Ex Serviceman’s club continues to provide a sumptuous setting for the auction, with many buyers enjoying a glass of something from the bar whilst enjoying Charles’ auctioneering and picking up the odd treasure along the way. During a lively sale with Charles expertly adopting David’s intimate, and sometimes amusing approach, many varied items on offer were fought over in all categories, and in less than just over two hours the auction was over, with equal value to both buyers and sellers alike. Our next sale will take place on Friday 12th April, and David will be back on the floor sporting his own brand of comedy and hard selling. On the morning of the forthcoming auction on Friday 12th April, we will be accepting lots from 10am-midday although there are already some very interesting lots, , so check the photo gallery.
