I had some old, but very well built furniture given to me by my mother. After discussing other ideas for my kitchen chairs, my mother suggested I paint the other furniture too. I would then have 'new' furniture... She planted the seed... Within a few months, my love of painting everything in candy pastel colours had flourished. My only problem was that I had run out of furniture to paint...

ainting was put on hold as my life took a different path. I changed jobs, met the man of my dreams and discovered I was pregnant..! Once I was on maternity leave, I began searching for 'baby' things. I found a couple of chests of draws, which would be ideal for miniature clothes... Lots of drawers for little things... I then went out to the garage, in search for my candy pastel paint...! Not knowing if we were having a boy or girl, I decided to paint the chests in pale yellow and pastel green. I was chuffed with the transformation...
