This fantastic capture was taken by David Ashcroft. He said:

"This Yacare Caiman was one of a group basking in the North Pantanal, Brazil. It was the furthest in quite a long line, and I am pleased the depth of field managed to keep the one in the foreground recognizable, but maybe not immediately! Taken on a Nikon D7500 with Sigma 150-600mm at f6.3, 1/3200 sec, ISO 3200 (I had been photographing birds in flight when this opportunity arose, hence the settings, and I wanted to quickly capture the open mouth)."

Rachel Francis at For All Seasons Photography captured this fabulous shot. She said:

"This particular image was created using a mother, father, and daughter, each photographed separately. I used blackout material for the backdrop
The were sat at least one and a half metres Infront of the black out material too.
My studio settings were ISO 100, f/9, and 1/160. Each subject sat on a stool so I could capture their profile while ensuring they were all looking toward the same point on the wall in front of them.
For the lighting, I positioned two Elinchrom D-Lite One behind them with a 90cm strip umbrella softbox and grid, angled from both corners of the backdrop so the light skimmed past each shoulder.
I absolutely love creating this style of lighting, and families adore these portraits just as much. It’s such a joy to craft something so striking and meaningful for them."

Michelle Jackson took this lovely shot! She told us a little more about it below:

"This shot was taken as a practice shot when we had our first heavy snow in the New Year, mainly to make sure I had settings right for a winter trip overseas where I knew we'd have snow. The sheep were in the fields opposite the house, and these two were very inquisitive and wanted to check if I'd brought them food, they were sadly disappointed when I'd failed to deliver food."

Andy Fisher is the author of this beautiful wedding shot. He said:

"This moment was captured at the beautiful Upper House in Barlaston, Staffordshire in October. The couple had stated they wanted a creative moody image having seen past work on my instagram. An unposed, slightly directed moment topped off by adding creativity."
