These old chisels belonged to my grandfather, they each have specific uses and I haven’t had a project that requires them yet, until now. Looking forward to refurbishing and sharpening these ready to be used next week on a new piece.

Probably should have tidied up before this image was taken.

This is one of three solid oak pieces that are off to their new home next week. This one luckily had a perfect leg sized gap to make cleaning up the underside of the shelf much easier. Doors, drawers and adjustable shelves to be fitted shortly.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

Have spent a memorable week with family in France. Back in the workshop feeling rested. Finished off a project today and have tidied the workshop in preparation for a new project starting tomorrow. Looking forward to sharing the images soon.

Back on the mortiser today, cutting clean joints into these beautiful ash components.

I’ll be back on this machine later this week as I begin work on a pair of external oak doors — looking forward to seeing those take shape.

Our Bossiney upholstered chair seats may look simple, but they are anything but.

Behind the clean finish are carefully selected materials, ergonomic research and thoughtful design. The infill is a combination of coir, hessian, organic wadding and cotton cloth. We obsess over what you can’t see.

A very happy new year to everyone.

Looking back at 2025 it was a busy year, filled with exciting commissions, rewarding teaching at The Snowdon School Of Furniture at Highgrove, some great exhibitions and enjoyable workshops. Very grateful to everyone, every company and organisation that supported us. We can’t wait to share some of our plans for 2026 on here.

This week I have been out of the workshop as I am currently in the Isles of Scilly and will be swimming 15k between the islands at the weekend. Just off the coast of Cornwall, the water is incredibly clear here, very much looking forward to it.
