I thought it’s about time to introduce myself. I’m Sara, I’ve designed and built furniture for over 10 years. A few years ago we designed and built our own house, workspace and gardens. This started my interest in architecture and sustainable building methods, which has led me to start a new chapter in my career. My company now offers architectural, interior and garden design. By bringing all these disciplines together we’re able to create a cohesive masterplan for your home or work space.

The aim is to improve your living quality by improving the structure of your building, creating beautiful spaces and connecting you with the outside. We will lead you through the design process and also overlook the work whilst it’s carried out, so you will get those amazing details you care about. Furniture items that are designed specifically for you will be manufactured in our own workshop.

This was by fare my favourite project yet. The recording studio for . The outbuilding on their land needed a full refurbishment. We built a second timber frame structure inside the old brick building, redid the roof and did all necessarily build-up of the walls to block out any sound from outside. Then we did the wall panelling on the inside to improve the sound inside the room to actually use it as a recording studio. We wanted to create a functional work space that is at the same time very aesthetically pleasing and just comfortable to be in. The last two images give an impression on how the building looked like before. That was the moment when we just removed the roof. You can see that we also designed the front garden which adds to the comfort inside the studio. We always design inside and outside spaces together to get a cohesive result.

Love this Japanese wood plane. It cuts super smooth and easily through oak. Even on the end grain. Having great tools is a real joy. This piece will be the desk top for recording studio. It might be quite unusual to have a Japanese inspired solid oak desk to mix your music on, but I love the unusual combination. It will feel very comfortable and unique in the recording studio, rather than the tech vibes you can often see. A calm creative space. Pictures will follow soon.
