Bespoke daybed/sofa.

Solid 42mm oak throughout with chunky foam cushions and boucle fabric.

This piece was made to sit against a wall, with the backrest removable when in use as a daybed. Slotted holes in the base allow the fabric to be strapped down while keeping the profile super clean.

A recently finished bespoke commission in oak.

The legs are turned on the lathe and set into the bench via exposed wedged tenons, while the back is connected to turned dowels via pegs.

Our Yackt chair is now available with upholstery.

Shown here in a black leather finish, but available in any material or colour.

A lot of angled cuts and joinery go into such a small piece. It's a simple design with a not-so-simple table saw setup.

This is a super exciting role, and not one that comes up often. Our Junior Designer is moving on, so we're looking for someone to fill his boots.

This is a hands-on and varied role where you will be involved in projects from concept through to manufacture, supporting senior designers and collaborating closely with our workshop team. Design requests will range in complexity from resizing an existing design within our portfolio to working through larger bespoke design briefs, giving you the opportunity to grow your skills across a broad spectrum of design challenges.

Keeping things simple with the Mottainai Coffee Table.

'Mottainai' in Japanese represents a concept expressing regret over waste - a concept we try to adhere to at Konk.

All of our sawdust waste is collected to be reused on chicken farms, and our solid timber offcuts are donated to local charities that support people with learning disabilities to take part in various woodwork projects.

We're now fully booked up for pre-Christmas orders; however, we still have a great selection of pre-made items on our Ready to Ship page.

These are generally dispatched on our next available delivery route, so there is still time to get a new table for the big day. (Plus, each has a 5%-20% discount from our RRP).

CHRISTMAS CUT-OFF - Our last orders for pre-Christmas deliveries will be Tuesday, the 28th October.

Any orders received after this date will be delivered in the New Year.

Some interesting details on our Namju Easel. The base support and top piece are fully height-adjustable using oak dowel that runs along the routed slot and easily tightened in place with two butterfly nuts. The folding back leg works on a similar principle.

Every individual component has unique roundovers, angled cuts, and custom shaping. All done with hand-rounters and carefully finished on a belt sander.

It's a build that requires a huge amount of processes and steps, but very satisfying to operate the wooden mechanisms at the end.
