Some designs feel like they’ve travelled through time.

Drawn from an undated album Plantae Japonicae Icones within the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Lindley Collections, this captivating composition of Magnolia and Chaenomeles captures a moment of quiet beauty, preserved in watercolour, now reimagined for your home.

There’s a softness to it. A gentle flow between blossom and branch. Each detail carefully translated, allowing the artistry of the original to live on in a new, tactile form.

It’s a design that feels both delicate and expressive, a way to bring nature’s elegance indoors, without ever overwhelming a space.

Because sometimes, the most powerful statements are the ones that unfold slowly.

A sketch, once quietly drawn by Gertrude Jekyll, now lives on in every thread.

What began as a simple study of a tumbling floral, observed in nature, captured by hand, has been thoughtfully reimagined into a design that feels as alive today as it did then.

Each leaf, each delicate bloom, tells a story of artistry, patience, and an enduring connection to the natural world.

It’s not just pattern, it’s movement. A gentle rhythm that brings a sense of calm, character, and quiet beauty into your space.

Design, at its best, is a process of layering.

Texture. Geometry. Craft.

Inspired by the structural beauty found in historic RHS - Royal Horticultural Society patterns, like Gertrude Jekyll’s iconic latticework, these designs bring balance and rhythm into the home, reimagined for modern living.

Every line, every weave, considered.

It begins with a sketch…

A quiet moment. A study of form. A single branch, observed and reimagined.

Every design in our RHS - Royal Horticultural Society collaboration starts here, inspired by centuries of botanical artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections, where nature was first captured in delicate detail.

From pencil to print, each piece carries that same sense of curiosity and care, a story unfolding from archive to home.

Because the most meaningful designs aren’t rushed. They’re grown.

What if your living room felt like stepping into a garden?

With our collaboration with the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society, we looked beyond interiors, and into nature’s archives.

Layers of texture, organic forms, and botanical prints have been thoughtfully reimagined into designs that invite calm, creativity, and connection.

This isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about how it makes you feel.

From the craftsmanship of each piece to the heritage woven into every fabric, this collection reflects a slower, more intentional way of living, where design is considered, and beauty is lasting.

Imagine your space, redefined by nature.

In archives filled with botanical sketches, in motifs that still resonate, and in the beauty of nature reimagined for modern living.

Our collaboration with the RHS - Royal Horticultural Society grew from there.

We've reimagined original artwork into fabrics designed for today's interiors. The result is a collection that feels as refined as it is relaxed, rooted in heritage, designed for the way we live now.

At Sofas & Stuff, design is more than how something looks - it’s how it’s made, how it feels, and the story it carries.

Through our collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum and our wider fabric collections, we celebrate designs that span centuries - from historic archives to contemporary craftsmanship. Each fabric, each silhouette, each finish is thoughtfully considered, bringing together heritage, creativity, and individuality in a way that feels truly personal.

These are designs that honour the past, live beautifully in the present, and are made to last for the future.

Inspired by the V&A’s iconic collections. Evolved through collaboration and design.

Since 2021, our collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum has grown across four collections - each exploring different periods, influences, and approaches to design. From the British Arts and Crafts influences of Drawn from Nature to the rich storytelling of Threads of India informed by historic textiles from the V&A’s South Asia collection, in both linen and velvet, every fabric begins its journey deep within the V&A’s extraordinary archives.

Within these collections lies a world of artistic inspiration - original textiles, sketches, and patterns that have shaped design and influenced creatives through the ages. Through careful curation and reimagining, these archival pieces are transformed into fabrics that feel both timeless and entirely relevant to modern living.

This is more than inspiration - it’s a dialogue between past and present.
A celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and creativity.

By choosing these fabrics, you’re not just decorating a space - you’re continuing a story that has been unfolding for generations.
