5 TIPS ON SUSTAINABLE GIFTING π¦
Hiyaaaa, I had a little break for the Christmas season and slept for a week π Now that I'm back to it, and my etsy shop is live again I realised how many people use for gifting! So, I put together this little book of tips for sustainable gifting π(I realise this would have been more useful before christmas π).
5 TIPS ON SUSTAINABLE GIFTING:
1. Try not to buy anything that is wrapped in non recyclable plastics. Think about how much of a product actually goes in the bin as soon as its opened!
2. Go handmade. Do you have an arty side? Or maybe you're great at music or baking? This pocket friendly option is guaranteed to please your nearest and dearest.
3. Shop small. Shop conscious. If you're not feeling making your gift, search for brands that will handmake for you! Etsy is a great place for this. I have so many recommendations for small brands and I'll make another post on this soon. π
4. Use gift wrap you already have. Vintage ribbon, newspaper, satin scarfs. Or make your wrap part of the gift! Reusable tea bags for jewellery, stain hair ties for bows, tote bags instead of gift bags and dried flowers. You can also use plain brown wrapping paper which is fully recyclable, you can even decorate it yourself but be sure to only use ink, otherwise it's no longer recyclable.
5. Go local. Shop where you live or within the uk to save emissions! Local shopping around brighton has made me find so many beautiful brands.
Also, can we please just give a massive nod to absolute talent in illustration.π₯
