Maternity cover required, with the possibility of a longer-term role. Starting in January, we’re looking for someone to cover one of our general assistants.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, presentable, diligent, computer literate, and have a good telephone manner. The job includes some heavy lifting, so being physically fit is a plus—safe manual handling techniques will be taught.
This is a customer-facing role, and you’ll be expected to interact with all visitors to the shop. We’re an old-fashioned store that values traditional service, providing handwritten invoices, so neat handwriting and good spelling are essential. The position is part-time, 7 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays to cover holidays.
