🖌 A little hello to my new followers!

Hi, I’m Pauline, often just P 👋🏼

I started upcycling furniture about 6 years ago. I loved it, it felt right, so relaxing and therapeutic. I finished and sold a few pieces….. but then life got very loud.

ADHD (undiagnosed at the time), RSD, menopause, low mood… all of it crept in.

That voice of “it’s not good enough” got louder than the enjoyment… so I stopped.

Fast forward to now, diagnosed ADHD, medication, and slowly getting my life back on track. I’ve been de-hoarding, resetting my home and getting my ducks in a row!

During recent recovery after knee replacement surgery, I picked up a paintbrush again… using whatever I already had (turns out I had quite a stash of unopened Fusion paints 😅).

I started with my living room, cabinets… and then something clicked again.

Alongside my main job (the one that actually pays the bills 😅), I’ve started working on pieces again - slowly, in my own time, without the pressure I used to put on myself.

So here I am, starting over, but with a bit more understanding, a bit more patience, and a lot less self-doubt.

This page is where I’ll be sharing the pieces I create, the process (chaos included), and hopefully a few transformations along the way.

Our next children’s art club is this Saturday 11th April 10am to 12 here at Norfolk Creative Arts in Grimston, outside kings lynn in Norfolk. £12 per child including materials. You need to book through our website under the children option.
