Refreshed Vintage brings you discarded junk shop finds and refreshes them with a gorgeous velvety chalk paint. Smooth, muted, vintage colours from chalk paint ranges are applied to furniture that has age, shape & style; transforming it into something we can love all over again. Ecological, friendly, recycled, renovated objects from days gone by can be mixed with your modern home of today. I choose

pieces for their beauty and charm and I am able to create a patina of age with the paint and waxes. The look will not mean to be perfect or brand new but will have an acquaintance of the past, individuality and hold its character. Trying to do unexpected, random and stylish things with thrown out or un-loved treasures is very satisfying; especially when people want these items re-integrated in the home and back on show again. You will not be able to pick the items I have for sale 'off the shelf'. They are personal and unpredictable: but at the very best, affordable. Junk shop finds painted in Old White, Old Ochre, & Creams brings a simplicity and timeless look. I upcycle furniture, but I have other lovely vintage goodies too which can add appeal and the 'finishing touch' to your home. I also love a brooch of which I have many! Remember, Vintage isn't meant to be always co-ordinated: China, glass, fabrics, crockery can all be mismatched, furniture can be a mixture of styles which in turn creates your lovely junk shop style home. My Refreshed Vintage days are over. Mum and I used to love doing them, but after Covid I just couldn't get back into the swing of it. I have a fair bit of vintage goodies to part with. With full time work and Lady Captain of my local club, golf is my number one love now and I'm definitely into the swing of that 😀 The Vintage cottage industry was a lot of work for little reward in the end, as effort and commitment was needed and which I can no longer give. So here is a picture of my new purchase: a second hand ladies 3 wood, (so still recycling in mind) 😉😃

I gave said visitor, Beau's Cockey Cockeral which still contained a ball of catnip (he had 2, as he pulled the leg of one of them, still on the shelf as I couldn't bear to part with them 😪) anyway, it seems Whiskas loves it too. She's had a mad 10 minutes and is now zonked out. 😄 and now gone back home...
