Since 2004, I have been acquiring mainly modest but sound pieces of Antique, Period, Reproduction, Retro & Vintage Second-Hand furniture requiring, on the whole, only minor cleaning, repairs & restoration, in order to bring them up to 'shop' standard. My business, called ‘A Part of the Furniture’ has various outlets & incarnations, both virtual and actual, including an eBay Shop, an Etsy Shop and
a Unit at The Brackley Antique Cellar. At my shops you will find a variety of hand-picked pieces of practical, usable furniture, whether genuine antiques, good quality period or modern reproductions, retro items from the 1960s & 70s and well-made, more recent but pre-Ikea classics from makers like Ercol, G-Plan, Stag, Jaycee, Old Charm & Bevan Funnell. My customers may be confident that they are buying practical furniture that has style and elegance in design, is ready to use in the home and is made to last. I love the craftsmanship and elegance of antique, so-called ‘brown’ furniture and generally leave the ‘shabby chic’ to others, except where condition is an issue and the only way to breath new life into a piece is to re-finish in paint. My FaceBook Page is for information only and provides a readily accessible snapshot of the pieces of furniture I have available at any one time. I invite online buyers to check out my shops at http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/a-part-of-the-furniture & http://etsy.com/shop/apartofthefurniture and personal shoppers to visit Unit 67 at The Brackley Antique Cellar, which is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm.
