The first painting has taken weeks and weeks and lots of paint to finally get there. I need to just 'get in there' with palette knives, fingers and anything else really that takes my fancy. I love putting it on, scraping it off, painting over ... all in a bid to get the texture I want. Some sketchbook fun too.
