Let's see how far we can spread rule 264. Give it a share or tag someone who you think needs a reminder.

-----

You should always drive in the left-hand lane when the road ahead is clear.

If you are overtaking a number of slower-moving vehicles, you should return to the left-hand lane as soon as you are safely past.

Slow-moving or speed-restricted vehicles should always remain in the left-hand lane of the carriageway unless overtaking.

Congratulations to Rufus Harwood on passing his Driving Test. A good drive And great result...

Some signal-controlled junctions have advanced stop lines to allow cycles to be positioned ahead of other traffic.

Motorists MUST stop at the first white line if the lights are amber or red. They should avoid blocking the way or encroaching on the marked area.

If your vehicle is over the first white line when the signal goes red, you MUST stop at the second white line, even if your vehicle is in the marked area.

Allow cyclists time and space to move off when the green signal shows.

You MUST NOT use a hand-held mobile phone, or similar device, when driving or when supervising a learner driver, except to call 999 or 112 in a genuine emergency when it is unsafe or impractical to stop.
