Just a wee reminder that I'll be closing the shop shortly to attend a very special dress showing. ✨👑

I will be back later, and the shop will remain open until all of today's mannequins have been returned and any mannequins needed for tomorrow's dress showing have been collected.

As things may be a little bit up in the air this afternoon, if you're planning to come down to the shop, please send me a wee message first to check if I'm open.

Today is Kai's 5th Diaversary 💙

Many of you who have visited the shop over the years will have heard the unmistakable sound of a Dexcom alarm going off in the background. It's become part of daily life for us.

Today marks five years since Kai was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

Five years of carb counting, blood sugar checks, sensor changes, alarms in the middle of the night, treating highs, treating lows, and always thinking one step ahead.

When Kai was diagnosed, we had never heard of the 4 Ts:
🚽 Toilet
💧 Thirsty
😴 Tired
⚖️ Thinner

Knowing these signs can save lives.

Type 1 Diabetes doesn't take a day off, but neither does Kai. Whether it's school, training, fights, friends or just being a teenager, he gets on with life with a strength that makes me proud every single day.

If sharing the 4 Ts helps one family recognise the signs earlier, then it's worth sharing.

Happy 5th Diaversary, Kai. 💙 Diabetes is relentless but so are we.

Another update from us 💛 its all happening today!

As of today, Giraffe Blinds will no longer be stocking Frenchic Paint from their Falkirk space.

The good news? Fair Fantoosh is still open as usual — stocked with all your Frenchic paint needs, plus all the creative bits you know and love 🎨

And… a little shout out into the Falkirk area 👀

A wee update from us 💛

Right… we’ve been a bit quiet on here, and there’s a reason for that.

Between the run-up to the Fair /Gala Days and everything that comes with it, it’s been busy behind the scenes — but also full of a lot of thinking (and a fair bit of stressing if we’re honest).

So, we’ve made the decision to move on from our space at 6 Market Place.
That means both Fair Fantoosh and Mary’s Fairies alterations will be moving together — we’re not going anywhere separately, just changing location.

We’re actually heading back to where it all began in 2019…

Not an easy decision — but the right one.

Trying to keep everything going as it is has just been too much, so instead of stretching ourselves thin, we’re bringing things back together in a way that makes more sense.

What that means is…

✨ Fair Fantoosh still here but a wee bit slimmer — Frenchic paint, lampshades and plans to introduce bespoke Roman blinds and roller blinds after the summer holidays 👀

🧵 Mary’s Fairies still bringing the same fantastic service you know and trust

🎨 All of it now together under the A Daily Dose of Dopamine roof, which will continue to accommodate and grow just as it has over the past six months (in fact we are hoping for a new, exciting announcement very soon)

And just to say — the space might look small from the outside, but it really isn’t. We’ll still be keeping that calm, cosy, “you can actually breathe in here” feeling.

That’s not going anywhere 💛

If you’ve supported us — whether that’s popping in, bringing something in to be altered, coming along to a workshop or even just liking and sharing posts — thank you. It really does mean a lot.

This is us simplifying things, making it more manageable, and building something that actually works day to day.

Not closing… just moving, and going back to our roots 🌿
