Thank goodness for stain retardancy in this beautiful 'Primrose' chenille feel upholstery fabric. I wouldn't trust myself with cream dining chairs!

I reupholstered this set of seat pads last week to replace the original Laura Ashley fabric which had seen better days.

They look and feel really sumptuous and the fabric was great to work with. If definitely recommend this range.

I'm getting a lot of enquiries recently. I think people are embracing hygge and snuggling up at home.

Statement Parker Knoll 🦓 🩷

This classic PK wingback was upholstered in the same textured draylon fabric as the Frida Kahlo chair. The legs had got damaged due to repeated wheelchair battering from my customer's mum in her latter years.

I love this customer's bold taste and it was fun using in 'CUREously pink' toske the legs pop against the monochrome fabric.

Pretty happy with the pattern placement and stripes.

Frida Khalo chair 🧡

This sweet occasional chair had belonged to my customer's mother and was upholstered in beige draylon.

My customer chose this striking Frida Khalo fabric with complementary zig zag fabric for the seat.

Still as comfy but completely different in looks!

Just started stripping the Parker Knoll chair in the same draylon. Watch this space for some monochrome madness!

Helter Skelter armchairs 🤩

Really proud of this project, even if I do say so myself! The chairs originally belonged to my customer's mother and so as well as being super comfortable, they had huge sentimental value. The previous upholstery had faded and frayed.

The customers are doing a whole living room makeover, new sofa 😍, new decor thanks to Claire and this pair of statement chairs to finish it all off. They chose this new 'Helter Skelter' in Moss Green velvet which was both hugely challenging (and subsequently hugely satisfying) to pattern match.

I refinished the legs to better tone in with the wood on the Ercol sofa and once again thanks to Claire at Copperknobs for her advice on wood colours and treatments.

I also made a couple of scatter cushions and a bespoke seat cushion for a quirky little chair which will help pull the new room together. Can't wait to see pictures of it all in situ!

Lovely set of dining chairs completed a couple of months ago. (Really behind on posting...)

Another project. The seats had completely bottomed out and needed a full rebuild. They were very unusually constructed though, so there is a bit of hidden jiggery pokery to stabilise the seats from collapsing any time soon!

The same customer has also requested some drop in seat pads in a complementary fabric from the same range. Watch this space...

Full seat rebuild for this antique carver chair.

This chair is used occasionally for my customer's elderly mother when she comes for dinner. The arms are perfect to assist getting up from the chair but the seat was bottomed out and fraying. I stripped and rebuilt the seat pad and it is now much more comfortable and supportive, not to mention much smarter!

Isn't the patina of the wood just beautiful?

I'm so behind on posting recent projects, but the sunshine today has inspired me to crack on.

This sweet little bedroom chair belonged to my customer's grandmother. She wanted it reupholstered to suit her tastes. She chose this stunning Harlequin fabric in pink and amber velvet.

She was happy to embrace the busy pattern, and not buy extra fabric to attempt pattern matching. Buttons expertly made by Helen at .co.uk as ever.

When my customer came to collect it, I asked her if she was happy. "I'm more than happy!" she exclaimed! ♥️🥰

Candy stripe footstools of dreams!

A previous customer got in touch to ask me to reupholster and fix a couple of footstools that went with these green art deco style chairs I upholstered a few years ago. The chairs were upholstered in a jade green Italian fabric her mum sourced and there was none leftover. So my customer sourced this incredible pink and green striped velvet from and by some miracle I located the remnants of the omega velvet in hot pink to make the piping.

Legs sanded and waxed. Photos don't really do them justice but these were some of the most dramatic transformations I have done.

Autumnal glow-up for this lovely leather sofa. 🍁🍂

The scatter cushions on this leather sofa had somewhat disintegrated and made the whole thing look a bit scruffy (see the 'before' pics). These customers chose some complementary chenille velvet colours for their new cushion covers and it's made it look like a different piece of furniture. Just in time for snuggling as the nights draw in...

I'm just about to embark on another scatter cushion project so watch this space for some more cosy vibes...

90th birthday present footstool 🎁🎁

This customer's mum turns 90 this month, and she is very attached to this little footstool. As you can see from the 'before' snaps, it is well used. The faux leather had worn away and was literally translucent when removed!

I replaced the foam and wadding and reupholstered it in a much more robust and attractive fabric. Hand-stitched the corners to fully secure it and screwed the feet back on. Hey presto!

Just had these customer pics in of a chair I did last month.

They were redecorating their lounge and wanted some 'his and hers' chairs. They'd already chosen 'his' but couldn't find something as comfortable as her existing armchair. Except it was too low. No problem! Managed to replace the legs with higher ones from AJT upholstery supplies. Did a pretty good fabric match with Hutton range to replace the old fabric.

Now, light the fire and huddle up into Autumn... 🍁🍂
