It's good to talk and make new connections. This job was referred to me by an Automotive upholsterer. The customer got in contact as he was concerned with broken springs on his three seater sofa.
From the outside this 3-seater wasn't in bad condition for its 18 years of use, but once pulled apart the interior was completely disintegrated and serpentine spring snapped..
Work completed, left hand facing and right and facing seating interiors & replacement springs.
All three backrest hollow fibre fillings had extra fiber added. Interiors now Solid as a Rock customer extremely happy
The customer is now interested in having leather rectified with colour pigments. Which will be fun if go ahead approved

A lonely lady contacted me in regards to reupholstering the seating in the senior citizen social club room. There was going to be major refurbished carried out within the room,with new flooring and painted walls, so it would have been a shame if the seating in the room looked dated once works had been carried out.

IV been informed that the senior citizen social club members were extremely happy with the end results..

A lovely lady who fosters children mainly babies and toddlers from broken homes asked me to help with her leather corner sofa as it looked worse for wear over the 20 years of constant use.

The sofa had gone through the mill as expected from being in this sort of work. The backrest interiors were non-existent and there were also scratches and rips in various places

Due to the playroom being busy during the week only day On which the furniture could be rectified was a Sunday while everyone was at church.

The lady was in two minds of either getting her furniture rectified or purchasing a new sofa.

After viewing the furniture and rectifying faults which needed to be amended, this is the end result.

What causes fabric pilling on clothes?

Old faithful upgraded

This sofa was originally my sister's who had a pair made over 18 years ago. Way back when I was still tailoring.
She was torn, but asked me to get rid or sell it for her (this was about 3 years ago).
I mentioned to the lovely lady who purchased it, aka Dawn, the story behind the sofa and that If she ever wanted to have it made over to get back in touch and I'd reupholster it for her.
Fast forward 3 years, Dawn found my number and the story of this beautiful sofa continues, this time with a brand new velvet coat.

Introducing Stan The Van.

This one is long overdue but as they say better late than never😂

To all the caravan owners out there in need of some soft furnishings uplifting heres some inspiration!
Stan's owners were extremely pleased with the makeover. They wanted removable covers which could be washed, these come zipped and quilted. They also wanted a more modern look with a neutral palette. Stan is now officially dog friendly.

Hi all recently updated a two seater and two single seaters for a family member... It was a ace going fabric shopping with her she was like a kid in a sweet shop lol . She was so happy with the sofas she even bought me a bottle of pink gin and gave a massive clock .. I just think she knows how will may time keeping is 😅 not 👎🏾. Well just another way to contribute to saving the planet.. # upcycling # we only have one

Newly Handmade large chesterfield style deep buttoned footstoolin a Vintage style. Extremely comfortable and elegant covered in luxurious upholstery weight fabric containing a variety of colours ie white, dark and light grays and of course greens as shown in closeup pictures, the stool is also fitted with turned solid wood tapered legs fitted onto 10 degree mouthing plates for that vintage splayed stance.

Can be used as a footstool, coffee table or window seating.
Ideal for both living room or bedroom.
