Up cyclers of furniture & Importers of French furniture & bric a brac We are Lynn and Amanda. We can source pieces from both the UK & France.

We became friends over 17 years ago when we qualified as train drivers. As you can imagine this was not the ideal outlet for our artistic tendencies & feeling compelled to do something about it we built La Shed. Here at La Shed we up-cycle our own pieces making every one individual but also offer a commissioning service so you can bring your own furniture to us for an update in a style of your cho

ice or we are just happy for you to contact us for any advice about possibly trying it yourself. We also love to receive photos of your creations that we will share on our page. We import pre-loved furniture & treasures from France, either leaving them to speak for themselves or giving them a new lease of life if necessary. We also make bags, cushion covers, bunting & other homewares.

La Shed, in association with Bilsington Priory & V&A Productions, now have a beautiful 3 piece suite for hire for events or photoshoots.
The package, consisting of the settee, 2 armchairs & the vintage luggage, is for hire for £150. Delivery can be arranged for an extra fee.
It’s perfect for a wedding, party or a photographer. DM us!!

A unique update of a traditional wingback chair upholstered in a limited edition custom design digitally printed on organic fabric.
The client wanted a p***y feel, hence the S*x Pistols design, & we coordinated it with a black leatherette & studs.
The last photo is of it in situ.

In association with Our latest commission completed. A lovely wingback chair recovered in gorgeous ticking fabric. Look at what the sewing box/footstool has been made out of. An old Newcastle Brown Ale box with wadding & metal paper fasteners to make a pin cushion. Ingenious!! It just goes to show what you can make with a bit of imagination. 🤩
