We are so proud to have made it the the East Anglia Daily times!

We’ve enjoyed so much media attention this week for the pallet parquet floor that we laid for our mother. Including a photo shoot (distanced of course) of me and my bro and the furniture we’ve been making.

Welcome to all of our new followers.

We’re working on a brilliant herringbone parquet table top. Utilising the glulam edge of the PLY.
We had a photoshoot with a wonderful photographer from the local newspaper yesterday. It was so exciting, apparently my hair was sparkling.

Good morning!

I have been trying out new more natural cleaning products recently, I got a great steam cleaner and a fab Hoover. However I like things to smell nice.
Mum bought me an essential oil diffuser and I have been playing with different recipes and scents to help the house feel harmonious.
I have been brewing thyme tea floor cleaner, thyme has excellent fungicidal properties. So instead of the I make a strong brew of by taking a tablespoon of thyme, pour fresh boiling water and steep it over night in a teapot. Then the next day, mix it fifty fifty with white vinegar and spray your floors. Now you can either mop them or steam them. But it’s beautiful and the house smells clean, fresh and natural. I also sprayed the outbuildings with the same mixture, the rats had been tearing their children in there. It totally removed the smell of rat p**s.
My second recipe is brandy based fabric freshener. It doesn’t have to be brandy, any spirits will do. Then I put about 100 ml of that into the bottle and added 25 drops of lavender, 25 drops of lemon, 10 of tea tree and 5 thyme oil.
These little recipes are all guidelines and you can play with them as much as you like. According to taste. However there is a real alternative to poisoning your atmosphere with commercial cleaning products.

Some people have a milkman, we have found our friendly neighbourhood house plant man Dave from Shabby Shack Trading who popped over tonight to drop off this and the wee basket for the we also got the from them as well a few weeks ago. Which actually started the idea to make a plant stand for the queen monstera.
And here we are, creating a jungle in our home. Such wonderful service, it brings me so much joy!

Here’s a throwback to one of the most fun pieces of furniture I have ever made.
My friend commissioned this high camp piece, he wanted Rita Sullivan from on a footstool.
Fair enough lad! So I created a high camp mash up of style iconography and general kitsch psychedelics. Which was then digitally printed onto this fabric.
He initially asked me to upholster it using a t shirt, and although that would also be fun. The elevated version is the only one that is in existence, and the professional finish will last for an age.
If you want some individual, kitsch, frivolity for your home, we’re your guys.
Btw, I locked myself out of my house to take these photos of her on the Manchester cobbles, cost me £250 to get back in. Cheers hun.

I am just having an early morning photo shoot with these supermodels.
I am feeling the scene singing, although reality is. That footstool is in the middle of the road right now and no where near anyone’s cold toes!
I am going to be pulling the big old white background out later on to attempt some professional looking serious important sales shots.

Morning all, here is the fabulously retro styled new footstool that we designed and created this week.
It’s been a long time since I have done any upholstery, I was so happy to pick up my gun and produce a queen of a footstool.
Again, the design looks luxury. Yet we have been super conscious of not wasting materials. Making this a greener option.
The fabric is AMATHEON meadow, by and the legs are painted using estate eggshell in
This one is for mum, however if you would like to own one then it can be made to your fabric specifications. We can also change the material or colour of the leg to suit your taste.

Creative carpentry. 🔨🗜🪛🪚
This week Charlie and I got inspired by a pair of G plan Astro tables .
We’re planning on developing this side of the business.
MCM furniture is super economical on wood, this design creates hardly any waste and was made using bits of ply from our stash.
