Hey everybody!

Here’s a little update on some garden benches in to be given a new lease of life. The legs unfortunately were rotted through, plus they were a little on the short side. I was asked to make some new ones and here are two of the four. The wood is absolutely gorgeous and the grain is perfect!

Here you can see the before and after of me colour matching them. This colour was equal parts medium Georgian oak, mixed with Peruvian mahogany, and as you can see it it's transformed these legs wonderfully.

Just finished this little beauty and is now displayed in the shop. I do like these French style kidney dressers but as you can see from the before pictures it needed a little tlc. Unlike some I’ve done though it was relatively damage free, just some chipped paint and a serious clean and prep needed.

I thought best to keep the colour light and went with this light mauve with gold on the gilt style detailing and handles. As always, i hope I’ve done it justice! A beautiful little piece and now looking for a new home😊

Just a little post to let you fine people know what’s in the shop at the moment. Quality vintage pieces and reasonably priced. I’m going to have a couple of new pieces to add this coming week but they’re not quite finished yet.

If any of you would be interested in one of these, or have a piece of furniture already, that you’d like me to upcycle, repair or restore then feel free to get in touch. I’d love to help✌️

Two more pieces in the pipeline! I do love a kidney dressing table, and this Louis style looks amazing with all the little details. I also really like these chunky looking mid 20th century buffets too and I’m hoping I do them both justice.

In the un-glamorous early stages at the moment. Both primed and ready for colour. Now it’s just choosing the colours🥴

Small workshop problems🙈 So just painted some doors in oil based paint and now they need to dry. Meaning I’m scared to even breath whilst in my workshop for the foreseeable future, incase I blow even the smallest amount of dust in their direction😵‍💫

I have a couple of little jobs on the go this week. One of them being these shaker style kitchen doors. Doing these for a lovely customer who popped in a few weeks ago, and I’m loving the fact that she’s gone for something totally different from the norm. I’m actually loving this vine green colour🙌 And it’s such a better, more environmentally friendly and cheaper way to update your kitchen than to buy a new one, I love it✌️

A nice clean up for this beautiful little side table. It had a fair bit of wear over the years, scratches and scrapes, the two top pieces were pulling apart leaving a gap, and a couple of legs were slightly loose. After taking it apart though, and giving it a good strip down and alot of sanding I finally got it back to the bare wood. It’s such a well built little gem that fixing the top and the legs came a lot easier than some jobs🙏

Then the customers decided to go with the idea to keep it it’s natural colour afterward, rather than reapplying the dark stain. I don’t know about you guys, but I think they made an excellent choice👌 I couldn’t have met a nicer couple to restore this table for, and I hope they love it for years to come!

A commission piece now with the new owners🙌
So what started off as an oak effect wardrobe has now been turned into something quite a lot different. Before painting, the whole thing had to be cut down to make the width and depth smaller, but once that was out of the way it was time to get creative!

The gold ended up looking great on top of this beautiful ‘deep space blue’ from The Little Greene Paint Company intelligent eggshell range. It was the first time using their paint and it’s certainly a new favourite.

It had been a while since I’d been able to paint and upcycle, as their have been a few restorations recently. But it was loads of fun and I loved working on this piece.
