We’ve been working on this property for over 12 years, with the house itself dating back to 1707. The basement was originally used as a traditional larder for food storage.
We were asked by the client to design and create a bespoke wine cellar, with a key requirement to carefully preserve the original feature at the rear of the space.
A truly unique project, we formed the arched ceiling and installed brick slips, all hand-pointed to enhance the character of the room. When the integrated strip lighting hits the contours, it creates a beautifully aged and authentic feel.
The entrance door was made from solid beech, with all timber brushed, stained, and lacquered to achieve a rich, time-worn finish.
