I made this little number this morning sheltering from the wind and rain 🌾
There’s some straw flowers, grasses, seedheads and mini roses which were white and have become a lovely caramel 🍂
Decorated with one of my flower dyed bamboo silk ribbons ✨

I’ve recently been reading about old traditional Autumn celebrations. Harvest Home is about celebrating the end of the harvest – everyone in the village / farm would celebrate after the final gathering of vegetables, fruit, wheat etc.
I love the idea of this ancient tradition – I haven’t quite finished harvesting my flowers yet but I think I will celebrate when I do. The first hard frosts will put an end to the Dahlias so when that happens you’ll know what I’ll be doing!
Does anyone live in a village which celebrates Harvest Home?
