Our Story
CIDA Wood Design - pronounced Cider not Cedar - it is confusing but it combines my name, Ci, and some of my surname, Davis. I know it is confusing - but the pattern of the letters and not wanting to be Ci Davis Carpenter etc, made it feel right. However, the first thing I have to do is explain how to pronounce it. That is not good business sense I know, but then I have to explain how to pronounce my name also: Ci as in Sigh not See or Chee.
The thing that I hope not to have to explain too much is what I do. I make things which look, feel, perhaps smell, beautiful in wood. This can be your front door in timeless English Oak, or it can be a piece of furniture such as a dining table, it could be a kitchen, or maybe a unique wooden light, and it can even be a small gift item such as a chopping board or placemat. Everything that I make is considered and I hope that it will be something that you will enjoy for many years.
My work is usually made to order and to designs discussed with my clients. However, I have a small showroom at my workshop now, and here there are always some furniture items to see. You can feel the quality of the wood and the craftsmanship that I offer. A visit to my workshop also offers the opportunity to discuss a project with me.
