The furthest my upholstery has been so far! This kitchen banquette seating was commissioned for a client’s home in Cork… thankfully I didn’t have to make the journey to install it, the kitchen fitters did that part 😜

💐 I love this fabric and think it’s the perfect choice for the garden sunroom these chairs are in. With limited space, the chairs themselves are the centrepiece of the room and this large, bold floral print is perfect. The other finishing touches for the space can be simpler and draw from the various colours in this print to complement the furniture. I can’t wait to see what my client does now!

This pair of Parker Knoll recliners went home yesterday to be enjoyed again by the couple who have had them for 30 years.
There’s a ton of work in recliners and this couple had found it difficult to even get estimates for theirs before they found me, but these ones were totally worth the investment (of their money and my work 🥵) - every Parker Knoll I’ve worked on so far has been so well designed and made to begin with, that it really makes it enjoyable to reupholster them. Gorgeous fabric helps too, this one from is perfect for their living room and was lovely to work with.

Big thanks to my dad for helping me get them finished in time so I could go on holiday! 🏖️

A set of dining chairs done. Redesigned to remove the buttons and simplify the look as there was a lot going on with these chairs and it wasn’t working! New padding added to improve the comfort of the seat. Wonderful response from my clients, I always very much appreciate hearing how pleased they are!

✨Family Heirloom✨

This well loved Cintique armchair had belonged to my client’s grandfather. It was due some reupholstery for a while but the final decision was made by the family dog after he decided to see what chair foam tastes like 🙈 They’re lucky they’re cute, right? 🐶 🐾
It’s always a privilege to be trusted with these very meaningful furniture pieces, and I love seeing them go home again to be enjoyed for years to come. ❤️

🐶 The doggies sofa got a glow up! 🐶

I suppose technically it’s their humans’ sofa but I know what my own dogs are like (i.e. spoiled!) so I’m fairly sure who is going to be getting the most use of this comfy spot 😉 Swipe to see before pics and details about how the patterned fabric was reused and new foam back cushions were made.

✨Are your cushions not cutting it?✨

This sofa from a well known retailer who I won’t name (but who always has a sale on 😉) was barely a year old when Niamh got in touch about the cushions. The filling had flattened out in the few short months it had been used and they were now basically sitting on the frame.
I took the cushions in and made padded foam inners to replace the fibre fill that had come as standard 😳 Any wonder they were rubbish! I couldn’t believe foam wasn’t offered as standard! Fibre fill is what you put in scatter cushions, sometimes the back cushions but it’s not suitable for seat cushions- it will never offer enough support and padding to be comfortable. It might look good, (in the shop or online - chances are when you get your sofa it won’t have as much filling as the display ones!) but looks don’t matter if it’s not comfortable.

Anyway, now it looks good AND it’s comfortable, and went home to two very happy customers. Swipe to see their review and the before pictures!
