We have recently installed a new 6kw tube laser and are very pleased with its speed and accuracy.

Up to 230mm diameter, 9m max length.

It can cut Circular/Square/Rectangular tube, Angle Iron, Channel Iron and Flat Bar.

Require a Full Time Metal Fabricator

Location: Woodside Road Industrial Estate, Ballymena, BT42 4QJ
Salary: Dependent on experience

4 Day week

Working Hours: 40hrs/week Mon- Thurs 7 am-5.30 pm

About the role:
The position is based in a new modern Workshop with excellent canteen and toilet facilities with modern high spec machine tools. The position is mainly workshop based with occasional Site work. The position involves Fabrication of Steel, Aluminium and stainless steel street furniture products, gates and handrails as well as general metal fabrications.
Full training will be provided.

Excellent role on offer to work within a rapidly expanding organisation with the opportunity for progression and to expand your skills and knowledge.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• MIG and TIG Welding
• Sawing
• Punching
• Shearing
• Drilling
• Folding

The Ideal candidate

• 5 years Metal Fabriaction experience.
• Experienced in MIG & TIG and have ability to work from CAD drawings.
• To be able to work from own initiative
• You should be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, high standard of workmanship.
• Good accuracy and an eye for detail required.
• CNC Profile cutting Experience would be an advantage.
• Pipe Bending and Ring Rolling would be an advantage.
• CNC Press brake operation would be an advantage.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be an advantage.
• Any previous CAD knowledge would be an advantage.
• Must be hard working and willing to increase knowledge and skills.

They said that waterjet couldn't cut through 220mm thick steel. We proved them wrong. A very slow process but a reasonable finish and tolerance.
