Addressing the skills gap ✅

Our Contracts Director, Barry Clark, was a real advocate for The Real Green Jobs Accelerator Scheme, which was rolled out in Leeds at the start of this year.

He said: “In an industry where performance and longevity is absolutely key, high-quality workmanship is non-negotiable.

“Demand is growing and this is set to continue but there is an increasing lack of skilled tradespeople. That is why programmes such as the Real Green Jobs Accelerator Scheme are absolutely essential.

“We were proud to partner with a network of talented and passionate individuals to upskill people and give back the communities we work in. It was great to see the learners onsite and we wish them every success for the future.”

Hamilton worked closely with partners EN:Procure, Leeds College of Building, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Council, Equans, DWP Job Centre Plus, Enable Futures, Jewson Partnership Solutions and Wetherby Wall Systems to deliver this inspiring project.

Union Square, Newcastle | Project Completion 🏢

Works at Union Square student accommodation in Newcastle reached completion towards the end of last month, marking the successful delivery of the façade remediation programme.

Working alongside Fleetwood Architectural Aluminium (FAA), our team stripped off the existing system and installed the Wetherby Wall Systems RagRail Cavity Spacer Stone Wool System, finished with a durable silicone render across the 7-storey development.

After steady progress across the courtyard and main elevations, the project has now been brought to a close and we’re pleased to share a few photos of the completed façade.

We’re delighted to be supporting the Real Green Jobs Accelerator Scheme in Leeds as part of our long-standing relationship with Equans. 🌱 🤝

The programme is being led by EN:Procure, the procurement arm of Efficiency North and delivered alongside Leeds College of Building, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Council, DWP Job Centre Plus, Enable Futures, Jewson Partnership Solutions, Equans, and Wetherby Wall Systems.

It was a proud moment to attend the graduation event held on site in February to celebrate the achievements of the first learner cohort.

EN:Procure Deputy Chief Executive Jonathan Shaw spoke about the enthusiasm and resilience shown throughout the programme.

Huge congratulations to graduates Jevon Joell, Aaron Rees and Dean Simpson. 👏

The next group of learners started their journey and together we're addressing skills shortages and opening up routes into construction careers.

I’m responsible for driving awareness of the Hamilton brand across the UK construction market. My role focuses on creating engaging content across our marketing channels, ensuring a consistent brand message, and developing campaigns that help reach new audiences during an exciting period of growth for the business.

Being part of the team that brought the new MMC Centre for Mansell Building Solutions to life has been an exciting experience for us at Hamilton.

Alongside RGB Facades Limited, we installed the brick cladding elements that form a key part of this full-scale, panelised MMC prototype. 🧱

The MMC Centre is not a showroom, it demonstrates factory-first MMC in action. Designers, architects, contractors, councils and developers can explore real build details and understand how all the components connect before a project reaches site. 🤝

It will serve as a hub for learning and collaboration by bringing together industry professionals and the next generation of construction talent to explore MMC in a hands-on environment.

A visit to their Chadderton Factory & MMC Centre will give you a first-hand look at the innovative construction methods driving better outcomes across the region from planning and design to final build. ✅

Avro Hollows | Project Update 🏗️

Works continue to progress well at Avro Hollows, with key stages now advancing across multiple blocks.

Scrimming has been completed across the majority of Lincoln Court and Dobson Court, marking an important step towards the next phase of façade works. At the same time, the team has finished stripping the existing system from the third block, Lancaster Court, ready for installation to begin.

Steady progress is being made across the development as works continue.

We’re pleased to welcome Dave Wylde back to Hamilton as Senior Contracts Manager, joining our growing team in Dartford.

Dave first joined the business in 2021 as a Contracts Manager and quickly progressed to Senior Contracts Manager, playing a key role in the delivery of many of our Southern projects.

He now returns to support the continued expansion of our Dartford team and ongoing project activity across the region.

Project Collaboration - Holbeck Regeneration 🏗️

We’re pleased to be supporting Equans and Leeds City Council on the Heart of Holbeck regeneration programme, which will see more than 180 homes benefit from energy-efficiency upgrades.

Hamilton will be delivering the External Wall Insulation (EWI) works as part of the wider scheme, helping to improve thermal performance and support the creation of warmer, more sustainable homes for residents.

We’re looking forward to contributing to a project that will have a lasting impact on the local community.
