Gorrick at Highlands Farm
I took part in an XC race for the first time in ages, it was a shock to the system.
Had a lovely day, it was great to see so many friends

TQ motor training
Had a great day learning about the TQ motors and test riding both the HPR40 and HPR60 systems. Very impressed with how quiet and smooth they are.
I can now service and diagnose TQ motors and their systems.

Malverns weekend
Had a great weekend camping and riding at the Malvern Classic. Camped with Chris, Nigel, OJ and my son Sam. On the Saturday I took part in the Retro race with lots of old friends.
On the Sunday Sam, OJ, Nigel and I all rode the enduro, I managed to get on the podium for my age group. There was loads going on with great kids' racing and the dirt jumping in the evening. Great music in the evenings finishing up with Leeroy Thornhill from the Prodigy. It was great weekend catching up with loads of friends.

Bosch Training
Had a great day updating my training on the latest Bosch systems.
I can work on any Bosch bikes, I can supply parts, service and carry out warranty work.

Rouleur Bike Show
Here are a few pictures from the Rouleur bike show last night. Many great bikes on show with some amazing paint work, the highlight for me was the Sarto red bike.

Torq 3 6 9 Minley Manor 5th May 2024
I raced for the first time in years yesterday. I was invited to join Jody Crawforth and Paul Davies to ride the 9 hour Team Open Vet race at Minley Manor. It was a complete shock to the system. We all rode well and finished second.

Core bike show
On Sunday I went to the Core bike show and had a look at a few new products.
I really like the look of the new Hope carbon crank which will be available soon (no price yet). The new Hope colour looks great and will be very popular.
The new Goodyear road tyres look good especially the vector 4 season and the Eagle F1.
The new tops on the DSG saddles are funky.
There were lots of other interesting products.
On the Enduro stand the fish tank, housing various bearings in varying states of corrosion, was a good demonstration of why I only use quality bearings on services.

Shimano Voluntary crank inspection.
In recent weeks most of you will have seen Shimano’s voluntary crank inspection programme in the press.
If you have one of the following crankset models then please contact me so that I can inspect it. Shimano have advised that they will replace any crank arm that fails the inspection process free of charge.

HOPE PRO 5
I went to the Core bike show today and one of the highlights was the new Hope Pro 5 hub. The new hub has six pawls and 54 points of engagements. The drag on the freehub body has been reduced compared to the Pro 4 hub and is EBike compatible.
