⚜️ A beautiful antique jewellery box with stunning original tufted blue silk interior. It has its original lift out tray with separate compartments and a ring holder section at the back. The tray also comes with its original pocket watch holder, which lifts out and has a small hidden storage space underneath for sovereign coins or small jewellery. The pocket watch holder is a bit worn (as seen) but can still be stood up to show the time, either inside the box or on its own separately (as shown). Surprisingly it hasn't been lost over the years! Underneath the lift out tray is a larger space to store watches and keepsakes. Original lock but no key. ✨️ Now available in my Etsy shop.

πŸ”΄ SOLD to a new home in USA. Another one is currently being created.....

🩰🎭 My latest theatre box jewellery box:
Previously a vintage wooden cutlery box, now transformed into a jewellery box theatre stage. The exterior has been sympathetically restored and kept original, but open the lid to reveal the imagination inside! Small pleated hand sewn curtains and pelmet, a mirrored back, and hidden storage underneath the stage for small personal items such as jewellery, and a small row of seats opposite the stage representing an audience. As always, it has been signed by myself (hidden).
Inspired by the theatre programme I purchased recently (pictured), and very loosely based on the interior of that theatre, The Criterion Theatre in London. '..... because it's not pink'. (The Criterion Theatre in London is widely believed to be pink because of a previously written description of the theatre interior).
Please note: this is my interpretation of The Criterion Theatre in London, using a combination of recycled vintage and modern materials, and a lot of imagination!

πŸ›  One of the items that I'm currently working on is this beautiful Victorian davenport desk. A few repairs needed, including a new leather skiver. It has a lovely Wedgwood plaque. Believed to be from the Aesthetics Period. It has a secret compartment area which I will show you in a video when it's finished. Updates coming soon...... πŸ›

πŸ”΄ SOLD!! Thank you! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

✨️ Before and after: a rare and beautiful early 19th century French perfume bottle casket. Stunning original painted silk on the front. Sadly the painted silk panel that would have originally been on the lid is missing, and only a shadow of what was originally on the lid remains. Beautifully detailed brass handles, now repaired and re-attached. The plain silk around the sides and back were so thread bare and damaged (see before photos), now replaced with a matching fabric. This would have been a stunning casket in a pale lime green with contrasting brass details, alongside the fantastic hand painted silk. Now Beautifully time-worn condition and sympathetically restored. Still very fragile but stable enough to use and enjoy. Original lock, no key, original handles, hinges, brass bun feet, and lovely mother of pearl escutcheon. Beautiful hand painted details. 🌸 🐦

🟒 AVAILABLE and listed in my Etsy shop:
Wait for the hidden surprise! 🀫 A vintage jewellery box that had seen better days. The thin leather covered exterior had extensive damage and was completely missing on the lid. I started by carefully restoring the dry and scratched leather exterior using a saddle soap. Some colour matching with acrylic paint only where there was areas of loss. Leather cream was used to nourish the dry leather using an oxblood red to match. Each stage was left to completely dry. Finally, the leather was given a polish, again in oxblood red. The scratches are always going to be visible, but this is part of its story. ✨️

🎭 SOLD: this latest theatre box jewellery box comes with its original working lock, and a working key has been added. Mirror backed, and hand sewn curtains. The stage lifts out to reveal hidden storage space underneath for small personal items. As always, there is a small row of seats opposite the stage that represents an audience. Let the show begin! 🎭

♻️ Every theatre jewellery box that I make, are all created using repurposed cutlery boxes and recycled materials. All are signed (hidden). I only use cutlery boxes that are empty and have seen better days. ♻️
