Windsor roar can help Linfield make history by reaching Europa Conference League group stages says Stephen Fallon.
โWe just have to win a game of football and we have been good at Windsor, both domestically and in Europe.
โThere is plenty of belief and confidence going into the game, especially with the fans behind us. The crowd can make a difference, 100%. When you are pushing for a goal or holding on for a win they can give you the extra 10 or 15% you need to run more or put in that important tackle. That definitely helps.
โEveryone wants to play at the highest level they can and it would be a really special achievement to make the group stages.
โItโs a prize we are aware of but we must focus on the game and we know what we are up against. Now it comes down to one big game. I think come Thursday we will be well prepared for it.โ
Fallon added: โThe club has been down this road before with Qarabag and Chris Shields already has group stage experience. All that helps, and guys like Matty Clarke and Jamie Mulgrew now have considerable experience.โ
โThatโs up there with the best experiences I have had at Linfield,โ he added. โTo score an important goal for the club in Europe is special and it gives us something to fight for.
โCoops (Joel Cooper) scored as well and unfortunately we werenโt able to see the game out but we just have to be positive for the second leg and believe that we can still go through.
โIt was frustrating to concede the two goals even though you could see they were growing into the game. The first one wasnโt a corner, which in fairness we didnโt deal with, and it felt a bit like a loss but we will pick ourselves up. If you had offered us this position โ 90 minutes away from the group stages โ we would have taken it.โ
