Wee County Crafters, SCIO Wee County Crafters is an organisation formed to support and help everyone interested in craft activ

We aim to encourage people perhaps to try something different and acquire and
develop skills in leisure pursuits.We currently have members participating in wood
carving, wood turning, bandsaw box making, bird feeders and garden seats and
fine furniture making and general woodcraft.We welcome artists, photographers
and other community-orientated groups as demand develops

Two beautiful carver chairs and eight dining room chairs available at the Wee County Crafters. These would make great upcycling projects, very little work required. These can be split into various lots. If anyone is interested the chairs are available to view at:
Wee County Crafters, Cobden Street, Alva FK12 5AA.
Opening times Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday, 9am-12 noon
Wednesday Thursday evenings 6.30-9pm
No fixed price but a donation would be appreciated.

Lovely set of chopping boards and Coasters:
Member Doug Stewart, knowledgeable in all things woodworking, has produced several sets of chopping boards and matching coasters. Photos show process from start to finish.

1. Selecting and sawing various hard wood
2. Arranging wood to create pattern
3. Glueing
4. Clamping
5. Planing wood to correct thickness
6. Cutting wood to correct sizes
7. Sanding
8. Coating finished pieces with quality vegetable oil
9. As you can see from the photos a lot of work and effort has gone into making these. Job well done!
