Limed oak with adjustable brass shelving strips.

Set flush into the sides of the carcass, these strips can look neater than drilling rows of holes for adjustable shelving pins.

The brass also makes for a nice contrast against the wood.

Recessed oak handle detail. It’s a small touch that contrasts the painted finish with a solid wooden back plate.

It’s a feature I’ve only started using recently, but I’m sure there’ll be more projects where oak, or perhaps a different timber, could be used to round off a bespoke piece.

Boxing in utilities always requires a bit of thought and consideration.

Which parts need to stay easily accessible? Which bits are only needed for maintenance?

In this project, the water tank, water pipes and underfloor heating all converged in the middle of the house - resulting in an unsightly mash-up of pipes, handles and whatnot.

To work around the existing utilities, I boxed in the water tank, extended the worktop, and built storage around it. All the oak components slide out easily for everyday access, while the rest can be dismantled if it’s ever needed (hopefully not).

Pink loft wardrobe with oak details.

This recently installed wardrobe was made for a couple in Oxford, who wanted to make use of the loft space next to their bedroom to free up more room inside it.

In our first conversation, they made it clear that drawers mattered more to them than hanging space.

This shaped the design from the start.

Sixteen drawers in total provide plenty of storage, split down the middle and separated by open shelving.

Recessed drawer handles with custom-made oak plates round off the design.

Pink loft wardrobe with oak details.

This recently installed wardrobe was made for a couple in Oxford, who wanted to make use of the loft space next to their bedroom to free up more room inside it.

In our first conversation, they made it clear that drawers mattered more to them than hanging space.

I delivered this garden dining table at the beginning of summer to a very happy client.

The design evolved through countless sketches and conversations, with ideas moving back and forth until we arrived at something that feels truly unique.

Symmetry and repetition were never the goal. Instead, we wanted to create a piece that feels organic, a bit sculptural, and free from overly stylised forms.

Designed in collaboration with the client, the table responds to a clear vision for the complete transformation of this London garden- which is currently drafted by WILLGAMBLE.

It’s rewarding to know that this piece was commissioned to become part of a space, where every element has been carefully considered.

Big, chunky joinery is going into this sculptural outdoor dining table currently taking shape in the workshop.

What started as a conversation and a quick pen-and-paper sketch is now being realised at full scale — and what a scale it is.

Made from solid 100mm-thick Iroko, this piece is commissioned to become part of a newly renovated home and garden in London.

Limed oak alcove cabinet

This bespoke oak alcove cabinet features shaker style doors and a limed wax finish, worked into the open pores of the wood grain to create a soft, pale tone and highlight the natural texture of the oak.

In this case the client chose to match the finish to an existing piece. The two lower drop front doors open downwards and each has a magazine rack fitted to the back including a door stay to hold them in place when open.
