Just a quick post to let you know that my friend Neil Molkenthin is fundraising for Heads On (see link below), for this Leg - of the Voyage of Recovery and they’d really appreciate your support.

About “The Voyage of Recovery 2021”

A crew of 10 young people who have had a psychotic episode will join 5 EIP staff members for this opportunity of a lifetime spending 5 days, living on board at sea. The Crew of the Faramir will teach the young people to sail the boat themselves. EIP staff will be on board as group leaders to provide support during each leg of the circumnavigation of the UK.

Faramir (operated by the Cirdan Trust) is a fast sailing yacht, purpose built for sail training. Sailing long distances in her involves physical effort and teamwork, learning how to navigate as well as cooking, cleaning and everyday boat maintenance. Learning key skills for life! We were Lucky!! Our Unit is just behind the Nissen Hut a blaze (picture left). We only suffered loss of mains power supply, which was destroyed by the fire. Massive thank you to Essex Fire Brigade for preventing fire from spreading. Our thoughts are with neighbouring businesses who were not so lucky and the loses they have suffered.

Some have asked why is there a Jack Russell featured? Tilly is rescue dog who had many issues, we adopted her and she is definately a character and now Loved once again.

UrbanReloved is Relocating to;
Matching Airfield Industrial Estate (close to the A414, A120, A130 and M11 with easy access from the M25).
We're moving into a "Nissen Hut"!!! - Why a Nissen Hut???
It matches our ethos; "A passion for Re-Cycling and Up-Cycling to Transform Un-Loved / Un-Wanted items in to something that will be Useful and Reloved Once Again" for many more years to come, preserving a piece of history.

Nissen Huts were converted after the Second World War for agricultural or Light Industrial purposes, sadly many have since been demolished. Fortunately, the Owners of Matching Airfield Industrial Estate decided to retain many of the Nissen Huts giving them a "new lease of life" rather than "demolishing them". More than 50 businesses enterprises currently successfully trade from these historic buildings "erected as temporary facilities" over 70yrs ago! It's a big hut; and we've been working hard on improvements to create a better workshop, together with storage and display areas. More updates coming soon!!!
