Galerie Stephane Olivier

Galerie Stephane Olivier I was born in a garden, the garden of my Grandmother. In Paris, I opened my first boutique dedicated to the flowers from my childhood.

She was the one who started me on my journey with my admiration for the Earth and my sensitivity to materials, shapes and colors. These flowers came from very select growers. I mixed antique garden pieces with these flowers and this became my passion. As a result of this beautiful first experience, I found a shop in the heart of the "Marche aux Puces" (flea market at St Ouen) in 2000. La Petite Ma

ison became my laboratory where I could display French and Scandinavian painted furniture next to Industrial pieces and it would appear as a cabinet of curiosities - always a reflexion of the Universal Garden. Five years later I opened my Left Bank location in the former gallery of Line Vautrin. It is here that I display a melange of many periods and styles. I am constantly trying to achieve a balance with unique objects -that can stand on their own, together with XXth century scandinavian pieces of furniture, vintage and home designed lamps, and creations of my workshop. Frequently I am working with select artists who are a permanent source of inspiration for me and for the gallery. Their work provides a metamorphosis to the gallery-the change is inspiring. My work now, revolves around the world of interior design. I am always searching for new ideas and inspiration as a way of expressing my creativity with the indelible print of nature.
